In 1982, Robert Davies graduated from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Since that time, Mr. Davies has earned an AV-Preeminent rating in recognition of his professional skills and high ethical standards. His litigation practice focuses on major product liability lawsuits, aviation litigation, construction litigation, public entity defense, and complex civil business litigation, including franchise and warranty litigation. His experience in the product liability field covers a wide spectrum of insured and self-insured manufacturers, including automobiles, aircraft, motorcycles, boats, personal watercraft, power tools, playground equipment, tires, medical products, consumer products, chemicals and pesticides. Mr. Davies has worked closely with his corporate, entity, and insurance clients, including Alaska Airlines; ACE USA; American Suzuki Motor Corporation; Bayer CorpScience; Chrysler Group, LLC; City of Elk Grove; City of Folsom; GameTime; General Electric; Harsco Corporation; Home Depot, U.S.A., Inc.; Kawasaki Motors Corp. In addition to his active legal practice, Mr. Davies has served as a Pro Tem Settlement Conference Judge for Sacramento County since the inception of the program in 1988. In this capacity, he has conducted hundreds of settlement conferences concerning a wide range of legal issues. Mr. Davies also enjoys serving as a neutral arbitrator in Sacramento, El Dorado, Placer, and Yolo Counties. Over ten years ago, counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants began requesting mediations and Mr. Davies expanded his practice at that time to include serving as a mediator. Mr. Davies is also an active member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
